Tenova DELKOR designs and supplies reliable filter presses for flexible operation and easy maintenance suitable for a wide range of dewatering applications, from minerals concentrates and tailings filtration, to polishing and electrolytic processes, from coarse to very fine materials in the mining, aggregates, chemical, iron & steel, food processing and water treatment sectors.

DELKOR pressure filters can be fully customized based on process and customer requirements in fact the opening/closing can be fully automatic, opening at once or one-by-one, semi-automatic and manual.
If required, the filtration process can be enhanced further reducing the moisture content by using membrane plates and/or blowing the cakes with compressed air. Application based the process can require to wash the cakes removing undesired chemical substances dissolved in the slurry.


The filter press can feature a core blow system and a plate/cloth shaker device to prevent contamination of the final product and ensure a proper cake discharge. Based on the client’s process requirements, a fully automatic cloth washing device operates at high or low pressure, thus regenerating the cloths every cycle or after a pre-set amount of cycles.

DELKOR FAST FP allows shorter cycle times, higher throughput, availability and safety making the technology perfectly suitable for high capacity and heavy duty applications like concentrate and tailings dewatering (e.g. dry stack tailings).


DELKOR FAST FP consists of a fabricated sidebar frame. As opposed to traditional filter presses, opening and closing of the plate pack is carried out by two synchronized non-reversible screws, while final compression of the plate pack is achieved using a pressurized cushion inflated with water at low pressure.

  • Complete plate pack opened at once (up to 100 chambers) with the possibility to adjust the   opening speed based on process requirements
  • Recessed, mixed membrane and full membrane plate pack

DELKOR FP


For small capacity applications DELKOR FP filter press (plate size 630x630mm and 800x800mm) is a perfect alternative to the high capacity fully automated DELKOR FAST FP series offering a reliable and cost effective compromise.


DELKOR FP filter press consists of a fabricated sidebar frame supporting a moving head and filter plates positioned between the head frame and moving head. Opening and closing of the plate pack are carried out by a double acting hydraulic cylinder controlled by a hydraulic power unit.
Opening and closing can be fully automatic, opening at once or one-by-one, semi-automatic and manual, depending from the application.

DELKOR FP features:

  • Complete plate pack opened at once (up to 40 chambers) or one-by-one (up to 50 chambers)
  • Recessed, mixed membrane and full membrane plate pack
  • Filter plates with various feed and filtrate ports configuration to suit process requirements

    DELKOR FAST FP for Fe/As removal in Finland

    The project was awarded in August 2014. It covered design, supply, fabrication, installation assistance and on-site commissioning of the equipment for the on-site plant to refine nickel concentrates into a mixed nickel cobalt hydroxide product. The plant will treat 12,000 t per year of nickel concentrate from Mondo Minerals' talc operations in Finland.
